basis.point Bulletin April 26

Impact, partnership, and storytelling at it's best

Spring has been a time of powerful collaboration and impact. Our partnership with the Gate Theatre on the nationwide live‑stream of POOR was a standout moment, bringing Katriona O’Sullivan’s extraordinary story to more than 23,000 students across the country. The reaction from teachers and young people has been incredibly encouraging and reminds us how inspiring and transformative storytelling can be.

We also welcome the Government’s introduction of the DEIS Plus scheme, a significant step in recognising the deeper challenges facing students in the most disadvantaged communities. It aligns closely with what we see every day through our programmes and reinforces the importance of targeted, sustained support in our drive to ensure that all children get to shine.

With this backdrop, we are proud to share our 2025 Impact Report, highlighting the meaningful progress made possible through your continued partnership. The outcomes within it show the difference we can make when we work to remove some of the barriers that stop talent from being seen, nurtured and realised, and combine resources, compassion, with purpose.

If your annual recurring gift is due for renewal in the coming months, we would be deeply grateful if you might consider increasing your support, helping us extend these pivotal moments to even more young people.

Warm regards,
Edel
