basis.point Spring Lunch 2018

A glorious sunny day got the Annual Spring Lunch off to a flying start. The Mansion House looked magnificent bathed in the basis.point colours and the event, which was sold out with a waiting list, attracted some four hundred and fifty investment fund industry professionals.

Listening to feedback from the event in previous years, the creation of Club Tables proved a great success and the occasion afforded the opportunity to launch the newly created Supporter Programme and to introduce Sandara Kelso-Robb MBE as recently appointed Executive Director.

Eimear Cowhey, Chairperson of basis.point, warmly welcomed the guests and shared the work of the organisation via a video but speeches were kept to a minimum so that everyone could relax and enjoy good food and good company in the stunning Round Room.

Auctioneer, Sean Buckley achieved excellent results with comic ease when €7,650 was raised with items such as U2 Concert Tickets, Opera at The Merrion and Ireland v England 6 Nations Tickets attracting significant donations. A well stocked raffle yielded a further €14,475.

The funds raised will enable basis.point to continue with its work supporting six organisations which make a real contribution to improving educational opportunities for those in need in Ireland.

Thanks go to all those who attended, donated and supported the event and in particular to the basis.point Volunteers who worked tirelessly to make the Spring Lunch the great success it was.
