2020 started with great optimism, Adminovate, Showcase, new basis.point Board appointments. And then we hit a speed bump. In March, it became apparent just how devastating the impact of Covid-19 government restrictions would be, on the vulnerable communities that we support. We have been privileged to be able to respond.
2020 started with great optimism, Adminovate, Showcase, new basis.point Board appointments. And then we hit a speed bump. In March, it became apparent just how devastating the impact of Covid-19 government restrictions would be, on the vulnerable communities that we support. We have been privileged to be able to respond.
Together with Irish Funds, basis.point called on the industry, to coordinate a response to this crisis. Thanks to the generosity of so many individuals and corporates, together we have raised €200,000, allowing us to pivot our activities to directly help families and young people who have been hardest hit by the economic and social impacts of the Covid-19.
Education remains at the core of basis.point activities and we look forward to returning to our ongoing programmes over the coming months. The strength of our community, and the values that we share have been paramount over the past few weeks and have enabled us to respond with dignity to the needs of many vulnerable communities.
