Strengthening Governance and Impact at basis.point

We are proud to announce that basis.point has been awarded the Charities Institute Ireland (CII) Triple Lock standard for 2025, a mark of excellence that recognises the highest standards of transparency, governance, and ethical fundraising.

The Triple Lock is awarded to charities operating within the best standards of governance and offers assurance to our donors and supporters that the charity is professionally run, financially accountable, and committed to delivering meaningful impact.

What Triple Lock Means

This recognition reinforces our commitment to integrity, independence, and accountability, values that underpin everything we do.  Edel O’Malley, CEO of basis.point, shared her pride in this achievement:

At basis.point, good governance isn’t just a box we tick – it’s woven into everything we do. We are delighted to hold the Charities Institute’s Triple Lock, recognising our commitment to the highest standards of governance, transparency, and ethical fundraising.

Building Trust Through Transparency

Our patrons trust us to deliver impact with integrity. Every euro entrusted to basis.point is managed responsibly, with strong financial controls and independent oversight. Unless otherwise specified, 100% of donations go directly to fund education programmes, with running costs covered by fundraising events and tax rebates.

This award is a testament to the dedication of our Board, committees, executive team and patrons who share our mission to level the playing field so every child can reach their potential through education.
