The five Irish recipients of the donation are basis.point, Suas, Medecins sans Frontieres Ireland, St. Audoen’s National School and the Irish Youth Foundation. Each grant recipient was selected through Duff & Phelps employee nominations, with each organisation put forward holding great importance to employees personally.

Launched earlier this year, the Duff & Phelps Charitable Foundation is an employee-directed non-profit organisation committed to promoting volunteerism within the workplace and assisting charitable organisations in achieving their goals. The five Irish awardees are amongst 36 grant recipients in Europe. In its inaugural year, the Foundation has donated more than €450k to charitable organisations worldwide.

Commenting on the donation, Killian Buckley, Managing Director at Duff & Phelps said, “Supporting local organisations who play a valuable role in our community has always been important to us. We are in a fortunate position that, through the Duff & Phelps Charitable Foundation, we can raise funds for five worthy organisations that our team have a personal involvement with.”

Clive Bellows, Chairman at basis.point Ireland added,

We are both delighted and honoured to accept this generous donation from Duff & Phelps. This contribution to our services will go a long way in helping us improve the educational opportunities for young people in Ireland, and we couldn’t be more thrilled.

It can be challenging to raise enough funds to cover the different programmes and grants that we offer, but with support from corporates like Duff & Phelps we can continue to help charities across Ireland make a difference.
